Key tournaments coming up at the district level Kabaddi in Maharashtra
There has been non-stop Kabaddi entertainment since the start of 2023. With the month of March set to bring more exciting tournaments across the state, Maharashtra Kabaddi space is something to look out for.
The Kabaddi calendar for March looks promising as the district associations are set to host key tournaments to identify the emerging kabaddi talent. The Thane district Kabaddi association in particular has two key tournaments coming up in the very first week of March. The Morya Kabaddi Spardha is a four-day tournament that commences on the first of March and the finals are to take place on the 4th of March. The second big tournament from the Thane district is the Chhatrapati Shivaji Mandal District Kabaddi Championship that is to kick start from the 4th of March and conclude on the very next day that is 5th of March 2022. Senior players like Paresh Harad, Nilesh Salunkhe, Raju Kathore, Vighnesh Chaudhary are expected to participate in both the tournaments. The tournaments are organised in affiliation with the Thane District Kabaddi Association and are going end-to-end digitised and streamed live on the SportVot app, the official digital partners of the Kabaddi association.
There are certain key tournaments from other districts lined up for the tail end of the month that the community will have a keen eye on, one of them being the Jai Hanuman Kabaddi Championship happening in the southern district of Maharashtra, Kolhapur. The tournament is set to begin from the 24th of March and will conclude on the 26th of March is considered to be one of the important tournaments for players from Kolhapur as they strive to make a mark in the district level team. This tournament is organised in affiliation with the Kolhapur District Kabaddi Association and will be end-to-end digitised and live streamed on the SportVot app
